Tales from the Sketchbook!

Courtesy of my sketchbook, whom you may or may not know.

Our first French restaurant. 10.50 for dinner and desert, nice. I still hate wine.

Lovely garden, designed by some Medici woman. Good place for a nap.
Anywhere is good for a nap after a 48 hour day.

The metro. Good place for sketching, no matter the country.

We walked up the Eiffel tower. Wow. So many steps. But they have fun facts along the way. "Must... keep.... walking....must learn......more.....gasp....."

Magee's friends took us out to dinner. The waiters are infamously rude here,
and they earn their reputation. Boy, yeah.

At the Louvre. This is an easy activity at museums.

The first hostel was ok. But we didn't like being split up and ending up with,
say, loud drunk German room mates.

Good people. Good animators. And Kim's a master in photoshop, totally.

It's true. The guy from the Lille school who met us at the train station was
wearing a purple Hawaiian shirt.

A tour on the Seine. Yes, I misspelled it, so sue me.

Tell me this muse doesn't look like she's talking to you. Musee d'Orsay.

Yeah. Heck yeah, I drew it.

This guy isn't an animator. He's an architect. But don't tell Pat Smith.

Market day in Old Town!

On the big lawn in front of the Bonlieu. On this same lawn we watched
"L'etrange Noel de Monseuir Jack". Woo!

French animation student we met up with at the Lille picnic.

I told Krista I'd get her, and I did. We did a lot of sunbathing when we could fit
it in. Lets hear it for festivals near lakes.

Conor: Look at Mike! "I'm Mike and I'm cool!"
Mike: I always say that.

Kicking pinecones. Always wear safety gear when attempting this.

Us girls got away for an oddly quiet meal. Drew some little kid.

Dining at an Italian place in France. We meet the adults from the workshop.

Mike, trademark orange hat and all, gives us a smile at the kitchen table.

Breakfast night in the hostel kitchen. Krystal whips up some eggs for us.

A dinner party, with Cecile, Philipe, and Nicole among others.

We had a picnic up a mountain with Alexandre, Sidoney, and Fred and his two
kids. Best time I've ever had. There were loads of people flying radio control
planes up there.

On the train back to Paris, Mike Krystal and Taylor were a wee bit tired.

Let the joyous word be spread! The wicked old witch at last is- er, sorry. Wrong line. I mean, I'm back baby! The sketch slump has officially ended!

It's the movie night crew!!!

Miriam finally gets her portrait.
