Ballad of Stickman and Bob
Well here's the tale of Stickman
and his loyal sidekick Bob.
They never went to college,
couldn't keep a steady job.
So they thought they'd take to wanderin',
go off and see the world
and struck out from the suburbs
as their destiny unfurled.
They walked and walked and walked somemore
until their feet did ache
but when the sun was high above
they'd stop and take a break.
As they wandered, Bob would
strum his banjo skillfully
while Stickman always sang along
and usually off-key:
"Why, hello great big crazy world,
me and Bob are here to stay!
And if you're not prepared for us,
you'd better clear the way!"
They crossed a swealt'ring desert,
mighty rivers they did ford.
They navigated by the stars
and lived life by the sword
A vast and perfect untouched land
as far as eyes could see;
When their supplies were runnin' low,
they hit the A&P.
Now some say bob and stickman
are still wanderin' to this day,
and if you listen close
you can hear from far away
the sound of banjo music
and the trampin' of their feet
and a voice that sings out clearly
"Hey, how long til we eat?"
